Optivance started with my dad, an optometrist. For years I watched him run the whole practice almost on his own: the patients, the workshop, the paperwork, the books, the suppliers. All of it rested on him.

His practice isn’t the exception. Optical clinics of every size live with the same gap. The EMRs they’re handed weren’t built for optical work, so the eye exam is squeezed into a generic visit form. Supplier orders, lab production, and patient follow-up sit outside the tool, held together by notebooks, spreadsheets, and WhatsApp.
